The Wicked, Wild-Eyed Women of Portabello Town
Sketching some pirates for an epic painting for an epic song by Emerson Lake and Palmer, which is based on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Disneyland. More to come.

And The Grackle Came...

Alex Krokus, who makes awesome animations and illustrations, also has this awesome band called Wood Spider, and this band has a song aptly named, "Our Monster Song", Which features the notorious and positively awful monster, The Grackle.
I thought way back when in 2009, that It'd be super fun to conceptualize this beastie, however I really didn't get around to it till recently.
I'm thinking about building a small portion of a concept art based portfolio around this story and character. I'm really, very excited about this!

Back the Drawing Board
I was asked to back track on my Wonka project and depart from my movie poster teasers. I started to expand upon my first idea. Showing here:

I hope to eventually expand on the teaser posters, but for now I'm going to head back into the collage movie poster realm!

Brooklyn Bridge

I went sketching down at South Street Seaport with Stephen Gardner. It turned out to be an enjoyable day, despite the rainy start.
I got some okay drawings done.
This one was the best.
